The Caguana and Ángeles barrios of Utuado are rich in the indigenous history of Borikén. Here is where we find the Caguana Indigenous ceremonial Center, the most monumental of its kind anywhere in the Caribbean islands from the taíno era. Bordering the site is the Tanama river, famous for its seven tunnels and arches which it runs through. On this new version of the Taíno Route, after visiting the Caguana Indigenous Ceremonial Center, we go on hike through the forest to visit the famous Cueva Del Arco in the Tanama river. Join us on this adventure into the indigenous past of Borikén.

The Center/ Ciales, Manatí
Come with us to a unique Rainforest and Beach tour in the North Central region of Borikén. First, we head to the Central Mountain town of Ciales as we drive through windy roads to the Tres Picachos Rainforest Reserve and Las Delicias waterfall. On the way you´ll be mesmerized by the high and steep mountain and forest views! You can bathe yourself under the crystal-clear waters of the Sacred waterfall or just marvel in the sounds and sights of the forest. After our we visit to the Rainforest, we head back down the Mountains and stop for lunch. Then we head to Manatí and the Mar Chiquita Beach Reserve. This famous beach is unique halve moon shape is a local's favorite. The beach is literally enclosed by a wall of sandstone cliffs! A break in the rocks allows the entrance of the ocean creating a "little sea" or Mar Chiquita in Spanish! There, we´ll explore the caves that are located in the area! In these caves you´ll find petroglyphs (rock carvings) left by our Taíno ancestors long ago. Finally, you´ll get a chance to chill at the beach before heading back to your place of stay. Don´t forget to take a lot of pics or you´ll regret it like Bad Bunny!
